UMA PROPOSTA DE ENSINO SOBRE O SISTEMA SOLAR PARA A EDUCAÇÃO BÁSICA
A teaching proposal about the Solar Sistem for Basic Education
Abstract
We observed a growing interest on the part of Basic Education students in topics related to Astronomy, which was contributed by the wide dissemination of the Brazilian Astronomy and Astronautics Olympiad (OBA). There is also a strong presence of Astronomy themes in brazilian official texts that refer to the Basic Education curriculum, such as the National Common Curricular Base (BNCC) and the New High School. This motivated us to propose didactic sequences aimed at teaching Astronomy in Basic Education. We organize the classes in didactic sequences according to themes related to the Solar System, starting with an expository and reflective class, counted as class zero, allowing students to express themselves and discuss, interacting socially, valuing the moment, allowing them to seek a way of expression, in addition to being presented with questions that allow a survey of their prior knowledge and possible alternative conceptions, related to common sense. Next, we propose didactic sequences that make learning potentially meaningful, seeking to promote not only conceptual learning, but investigative experiences that motivate the student to deepen and continue learning Astronomy. We hope that the didactic sequences can serve other teachers and students as study material in elective disciplines, within the New High School proposal, in view of the components of the diversified part. The proposed sequences aim not only at a quantitative result, to contribute to the participation of several students in the Astronomy Olympics, but also a qualitative result, seeking to stimulate and promote experiences of involvement and protagonism on the part of students in the teaching and learning process.
